What is the Education and flashcards example app?

A learner studies a deck of cards. After each answer, the app decides when to show that card again. Cards they know appear less often, and cards they miss return sooner. The app records scores and unlocks achievements. A premium plan lets the learner generate a quiz from their own notes.

This category is a design target. It is not a claim that Edict already supports a complete learning app.

What backend does the Education and flashcards example need?

  • Learning progress.
  • Scheduling.
  • Scores and achievements.
  • Subscriptions.
  • Notifications.
  • AI-generated content.

How do the planned modules compose in the Education and flashcards example?

The database is designed to store decks, cards, and per-learner progress, all owned by the user. Business logic would hold the review rule: it updates the interval after each answer and emits an event when a card falls due. Push notifications would listen for that event and tell the learner that cards are ready. Background jobs are planned to handle timing, so reminders can respect the learner’s timezone.

For AI-generated quizzes, Authentication, Subscriptions, and the AI gateway are designed to work together. The gateway is designed to check the plan and the allowance before it asks the provider to write questions from the learner’s notes.

What would an illustrative rule look like in the Education and flashcards example?

The configuration above shows the idea of a review rule that reacts to an answer and a notification that reacts to the resulting event. The key names and the syntax are placeholders and are not final. Edict does not define which scheduling method an app should use.

What is example and what is planned in the Education and flashcards example?

All modules named here are planned and in development. Your app owns the learning method, the content, the quiz quality, and the achievement design. Edict is designed to store, schedule, and enforce what you declare.
